Ingredients

12 Rhodes White Dinner Rolls, dough thawed but still very cold
1/4 cup butter
2 tsp crushed garlic
2 cups mozzarella

1. Spray counter with nonstick spray. Combine all roll dough and roll out on the sprayed counter to an 8×13-inch rectangle. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray and move the rectangle onto the baking sheet. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap and let rise for 45 minutes to an hour.

2. Melt the butter in the microwave, about halfway. This should take 15 seconds. Add the garlic into the butter and stir to combine.

3. Take the plastic wrap off of the risen dough. Brush all of the butter and garlic mixture over the dough. Sprinkle the cheese evenly across the top of the butter.

5. Remove from oven and cut into 12 pieces.

Can I use a loaf of the bread instead of rolls?

Thank you for your question! You certainly can use the Bread Dough. One loaf of Bread Dough is equivalent to 12 Dinner size Rolls. Happy Baking!

I use this dough all of the time. It’s gret pizza dough. i also make fried dough. Just break off pieces of dough, stretch and flatten then fry in oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels, put butter on and sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top. Really delic.

This sounds perfect to accompany meat ball hors d’oRuves. How far ahead can the cheesy bread be made and what would be best way to reheat? 27 guests coming so teying to keep it simple

Thank you for your question! The very best way to make would be to make just ahead of serving them. But if you would like to make them earlier in the day. I would make them and then cover with foil and put them back in a warm oven to re-heat. I suppose you could bake them now and freeze them with out the cheese. Before serving, thaw them and add the cheese and warm them in a warm oven, warming them and melting the cheese. If you have more questions, you could call our Customer Satisfaction number

Thank you for your question! You can lightly brush the loaf with butter before baking or do an egg wash (beaten egg with a bit of water) and brush on the loaf.

Our rhodes bread dough Pepperoni rolls have mozzarella cheese that when baking the cheese runs out onto the pan. What are we doing wrong ? we want the cheese to stay inside.

If you are putting the cheese inside the roll, be sure to seal that well. That may be your problem. Or you might cut down on the amount of cheese you are adding. See if that helps you.
