Cast Iron Garlic Rolls

A perfect addition to any weeknight meal.

Ingredients

10 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

Spray a 10 inch cast iron skillet with non-stick cooking spray. Combine melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley. Dip each roll into butter mixture, coating completely and arrange in skillet. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until double in size.

Remove wrap and gently brush with remaining mixture. Bake at 350ºF for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

    I love cooking the rolls in cast iron frying pan. I use garlic powder, herbes de provence, and CRUSHED red pepper flakes in the melted butter, brush on rolls and sprinkle with fresh grated Parmesan cheese. Bake and brush with the melted butter when done.

      When i take the rolls out iOf the freezer they start to thaw and rise . Can i dip them in the garlic mix while FROZEN ?

        You can dip them while they’re frozen, but I like to wait until they are still cold and almost thawed. I think it helps the garlic mixture to “stick” to the rolls. Enjoy!

            That depends on a lot of factors, like how fresh the yeast (check the “best by” date), the warmth of your kitchen etc. Therefore, I can’t give you a accurate time. You will need to watch them and bake them when they have doubled. As the package says, 3-4 hours to thaw and rise. The warmer your kitchen is, will help with the rising.

      You can use any baking dish. This just shows how the rolls in a circle. Just a different way of baking them.

    I Sprinkled some salt on the top and YUM! Next time I am going to add a sprinkle of salt on the bottom of the pan Too.

      Sounds good. I would probably use a little garlic salt.
