Apple Kuchen

Easy apple pie topped with whipped cream in a bread crust. All your favorite flavors!


9 Rhodes Yeast Texas Rolls or 14 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed and risen
51 ounce apple pie filling (one 30 ounce, one 21 ounce), 5 1/2 cups
2 cups heavy whipping cream
4 tablespoons flour
2 eggs, beaten
1/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon


Combine rolls and roll into a 16-inch circle. Place in a sprayed 12 inch round cake pan to cover the bottom and half way up the sides. Spread with pie filling. Spread creamed mixture over pie filling.* Mix 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over creamed mixture.

Bake at 350°F 30-40 minutes or until firm. Serve hot or cold with whipped cream.

Microwave Method:
Microwave whipping cream three minutes on high. Stir in flour, beaten eggs and sugar. Microwave another three minutes.

Stove Top Method:
Mix flour, sugar, and whipping cream. Heat to scalding, gradually add beaten eggs and cook until thick.
