Ingredients

2 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, thawed to room temperature
1 Tbsp pizza sauce
1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
6-10 pepperoni pieces
or your favorite toppings

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450ºF.
  2. Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Combine two Dinner Rolls and flatten into a 6 to 8-inch circle.
  3. Place on a sprayed baking sheet. Poke crust several times with a fork to prevent bubbles from forming.
  4. Top with pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni.
  5. Bake at 450°F 7-10 minutes. Remove pizzas from oven and serve.

Baking Note

  • If there is no time to thaw rolls on your counter, place on a microwave safe dish and cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave rolls in 10 second increments, rotating often, until thawed.

I do not understand directions- COmbine 2 dinner rolls then roll each out – do you end up with one pizza made from 2 rolls or two pizzas- one per roll???

You will have one pizza made out of two rolls that are combined. If you only used one roll it would be a very small pizza. Hope that helps!

I think the confusion is the word each…..flatten each, top each one ….we love these rolls especially because they are not maid with dairy products.

Do you let the dough rise?

Yes, it is fine if it raises, just punch it down and roll it out into the shape you want.

Are the frozen dinner roll balls any diff than the frozen bread dough? Or are they the same dough. Also, areI used to be able to find a frozen dinner roll that was SLIGHTLY bigger (but not as big as the texas roll). It came in a bag of 72. Is that STILL A THING?

The Dinner Rolls are the same recipe as the Bread Dough. We have a 72-count package that are the Dinner Rolls just a larger quantity in the package. The Texas Rolls are the largest size- Thaw, Rise and Bake Roll that we make. The Texas Rolls are 1 1/2 times the size of the Dinner Rolls so you can adjust your recipe if you need to.

Rhodes, will you consider rewording your recipe? “Combine two Dinner Rolls and flatten each roll into a 6-8-inch circle.” And “ Top each one with pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni.” Are unnecessarily confusing.

Yes, that could be confusing. I will get with the recipe department and make sure that is worded more clearly. Thanks for your feedback.
