Churro Poppers

Everyone’s favorite treat, the churro, now in small poppable bites. What’s not to love!

Ingredients

12 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, dough thawed

Vegetable oil for frying

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cut each dinner roll in half and round the pieces into balls.
  2. Heat oil to medium or medium-low in a saucepan. Fry the dough, about six at a time, for 2-3 minutes. Remove the fried dough from the oil onto a paper towel to drain.
  3. In a bowl combine the cinnamon and sugar. Coat each churro with cinnamon and sugar. Serve warm.

Freezer Snacks

Complete steps one and two and let the fried dough cool to room temperature. Place in a large freezer bag.

Microwave

Remove as many poppers as you would like. Place them on a plate and cover with a wet paper towel. For 2, microwave for 30 seconds, for every additional popper, add 10 seconds. Remove from microwave and complete step three.

Air Fryer (recommended)

Remove as many poppers as you would like. Place them in the air fryer. Set the air fryer to 400ºF for 7-10 minutes. Complete step three.

Oven

Remove as many poppers as you would like. Place them on a sprayed baking sheet and bake them at 350ºF for 10-12 minutes. Complete step three.

    I absolutely love Rhodes Rolls but i have a DIFFICULT time finding them in my local grocery stores. Help!!!!!!!
