9 Rhodes Yeast Dinner Rolls, dough thawed to room temperature
1 can Solo Almond Cake and Pastry Filling
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1 Tablespoons butter, melted

Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 to 3 Tablespoons milk

Sliced almonds for decorating

Instructions

Spray counter lightly with cooking spray. Combine rolls and roll into a 12 x 16 inch rectangle. Spread pie filling lengthwise in a 4-inch strip down the center of the dough. Top with mini chocolate chips. Make cuts 1 1/2-inches apart on long sides of dough to within 1/2-inch of filling.

Begin braid by folding top and bottom strips toward filling. Then braid strips alternately over filling. Finish by pulling last strip over and tucking under braid.

Lift braid with both hands and place on sprayed baking sheet. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap and let rise 30 minutes. Remove wrap and brush with melted butter. There is no need to let the loaves rise. Just let them thaw until you are able to work with them. Sounds wonderful!

Thanks for your question. I went into our website; rhodesbakenserv.com and put “cream cheese” into the search. Several different recipes came up so I’m not certain if one of them is what you are looking for. Many times people use our product in their own recipes and it is not one of our recipes. So you might look on our website and see if that is what you are looking for. I hope this helps you!

Thanks for your question! You should be able to find it in the baking aisle, where the frosting etc is located. Also a baking specialty store would carry it.

Can I use almond paste for the filling. Will it bake and taste the same or do I add more of something to be the right consistency of filling?

Thanks for your question! I think it would be fine to use the almond paste and I don’t see that you would have to change anything. Happy Baking!
