i REALLY WANT TO TRY MAKING MY OWN BREADSTICKS AND THIS SOUNDS LIKE AN EASY WAY TO DO IT. however, the directions are confusing…

tHE INGREDIENTS CALL FOR 24 ROLLS MADE INTO 6 INCH ROPES, AND THE DIRECTIONS SAY TO PUT THE ROPES INTO 2 ROWS OF 9 ON THE BAKING SHEET. What happens to the other 6 rolls? sHOULD THE 2 ROLLS OF 9 BE 2 ROWS OF 12? will 12 fit on a baking sheet or do I need another sheet?

    Thanks for any help…

Michelle, We made a mistake in this recipe. Thank you so much for catching it. The recipe should be for 18 Yeast dinner rolls (or 36 if you want to use the whole package and two baking sheets). Let us know how these turn out for you! Personally, they are my favorite recipe on the website!

Thanks for your email! You can put more on a baking pan, it just depends on what you want your breadsticks to look like. Spacing them farther apart will be an individual breadstick and placing them closer together will be pull-apart breadsticks. Just depends on which product you are using and what you what your final product to look like.

No, let the dough completely thaw before dividing it. Then roll them into 6-inch ropes. It would be much too difficult to work with the dough while it is still somewhat frozen. I believe there is tutorial on our website showing how to make these. If you have other questions, please call our baking experts at 1-800-876-7333. We would be happy to help you!

Let rise til doubled then baked til golden brown all over. Best breadsticks ever! Buttery, garlicky, and crispy all over!

I think the number of servings is still off. My caps lock is not on either, maybe your website only accepts caps? anyway, these are really great breadsticks.

Most of the recipes shown in the recipe article look and sound delicious. My only problem is that almost all of them contain wheat or breading. My husband is gluten intolerant and therefor cannot eat any wheat, rye, nor barley. I would ask if there are recipes that could be shared that do not have bread or bread-containing ingredients in them. Some pastas are fine as there are a number of companies that sell alternative pastas that are able to be directly substituted for usual pastas.. Bread and bread-containing ingredients are harder as you have to alter the amounts of certain types of alternative flours you use to get a 1:1 substitution. I personally get too confused trying to figure out what flour combination in what ratios are good substitutes for which kind of bread stuff you’re trying to make.

    Thank you so much,

Thank you for your comment but we are a frozen Bread Dough company. So all of our recipes use our products and they do contain gluten. So I am not able to help you substitutions. Sorry!

How far apart should bread sticks be to have them not touch when baking? Is that implied in the spacing of quantities listed on that size of baking sheet?

I didn’t roll Each roll into a rope. Instead I put all of the thAwed rolls out onto my island and rolled it out with a rolling pin and then used a pizza cutter and sliced. then I took each Dough skice and dipped it in Melted garlic butter. (I mixed the gaRlic salt In to my melted butter) after placing the bread sticks in My pan i Sprinkled Parmesan cheese on Them. Then i baked them and they were perfect. I also used tHe PARMESAN cheese in green can. It seems to stick better to the bread stiCks vs, fresh parmesan. WHen my breadsticks come out of the oven, I also brUsh a little bit of melted butter on top again. This helps keep them really soft.

Yes, you could do this. I would probably use 3 Dinner Rolls. You can look at our recipe for hot dog buns on our website. http://www.rhodesbakenserv.com.

Hi, When I was younger I loved to make bread jnto loaves & yeast rolls from scratch. However, when you get older & not i. The best health, it is hard to knead the dough twice before baking. So, this sounds like a great way to make different types of yeast bread oroducts. Thanks for all the ideas.

I’m interested in making breadsticks out of your frozen Bread Dough, that i usually keep on hand for baked bread and Pizza. It’s fabulous. I’ve also made cloverleaf rolls, and last Thanksgiving I made your Pumpkin Shaped Rolls. Truly cute. Was an added niceness to our Dinner. I’ve enjoyed your Cinnamon Rolls with the Icing. They are the best. How can I make breadsticks with The Bread Dough ? Thanks ! Merry Christmas !

You can thaw the dough in the refrigerator overnight and then roll them out and add your toppings and let them rise. I wouldn’t thaw and shape them the day before because they will over rise and fall.

Let the breadsticks rise until they have doubled in size. Maybe an hour or more. The warmer your kitchen is, the faster they will rise.
